Improving sites for each device are now becoming essential.
This time, I will introduce how to create a report for each device by combining "View (report)" and filter.
1. Copy the view and make a new view
Be careful first
If you set a filter in the view, the data will change permanently, so be sure to keep an original view that is not filtered!
Operation procedure
Analytics settings → view → view settings
- View settings
- Copy with name
Items to be taken over, non -inherited items
Please note that copying is not inherited by item.
Items to be taken over

- E -commerce setting
Items that are not inherited
- Content group
- Channel settings
If you analyze from various conditions by multiple views, you can effectively use Google Analytics functions.
Let's all use the view!
Set the view for each device.
After copying the view, actually set the filter!
Various settings can be made as shown below.
- Views that do not filter on the device
Filter with basic view IP addresses that set goals, except for access from in -house and stakeholders - View of PC only
- Views that match the "Device Category" prepared in the view filter
- View of smartphone only
- View that matches the "smartphone category" prepared in the view filter
- Tablet only view
- Views that match the "device category" prepared in the filter of the view that matches the "tablet"
- Filter -free
- It is a view that has not filtered anything.
The filter excludes the original data and cannot be restored to the excluded data.
Don't forget to create a view that doesn't filter when you operate multiple views.
Set a custom filter
Analytics settings → view → filter
- Create a custom filter
- Select field
- Filter with device
Now you can set the data measured in the view for each device, so let's make a view with each device!
The analysis of each user's device is not enough in dimensions and segment analysis.
